Adjust Dollar Value

 

Use this function to increase/decrease the item's dollar value without changing Units On Hand.

 

Let's say you have logged in an item at the "estimated" price but now need to increase the dollar value by an additional amount. Freight or taxes are the most common examples of this.

 

u Call up the item in Single Item Update.

 

v Click  

 

 

 

 

 

 

Notice the blue "Adjust Dollar Value" input form appears above the log in grid.

 

w Enter $8.70 in the $ Adjustment box to "adjust" the supply item's Dollar Value for taxes.

 

 

x Click Save

Note: To decrease the $ Value of the item, enter a negative sign in front of the number amount, i.e., -8.7 .

Notice (right) that two changes have occurred to the supply item:

 

  1. the item's $ Value is increased by $8.70 to $70.0046.

 

  1. the "iA" transaction for $8.70 is added to top of the blue log in grid (left)

 

This is a simple procedure that can be very handy in certain situations.
